OTM 2014

Monday, October 27, 2014 to Friday, October 31, 2014

The 13th edition of OnTheMove 2014 Federated Conferences, Workshops and Academy  (OTM 2014will be held in Amantea, Italy, 27-31 October 2014.

ABOUT OTM 2014

The OTM event is a uniquely federated event composed of three interrelated yet complementary scientific conferences that together attempt to span a relevant range of the advanced research on, and cutting-edge development and application of, information handling and systems in the wider current context of ubiquitous distributed computing.

  • CoopIS'14, Cooperative Information Systems, the flagship event in its 22nd edition since its inception in 1993, invites fundamental contributions on principles and applications of distributed and collaborative computing in the broadest scientific sense in workflows of networked organizations, enterprises, governments or just ad-hoc communities

CoopIS’14 PC co-Chairs:

* Michele Missikoff, Universita Politecnica delle Marche and CNR, Italy

* Lin Liu, Tsinghua University, China

* Oscar Pastor, Universitad Politecnica de Valencia, Spain

  • Cloud & Trusted Computing’14 (C&TC’14), is the successor of DOA (Distributed Object Applications) and focuses on critical aspects of infrastructure for cloud computing, specifically spanning issues of trust, reputation, and security

Cloud & Trusted Computing’14 PC Chairs:

* Michele Bezzi, SAP, Sophia Antipolis

* Henry Chan, Hong Kong PolyTechnic University

  • ODBASE'14, Ontologies, Databases and Applications of SEmantics covers the fundamental study of structured and semi-structured data, including linked [open] data, and the meaning of data as is needed for today’s databases, and the role of data and semantics in design methodologies and new applications

ODBASE’14 PC Chairs:

* Alfredo Cuzzocrea, ICAR-CNR and University of Calabria, Italy

* Timos Sellis, RMIT University, VIC, Australia

Themes

For 2014 again a number of broadly interrelated themes have been identified— submissions w.r.t. these themes should therefore carefully position themselves:

  • Mobile aspects of secure computing in general as a basis for trusted use of Cloud-based IS
  • Infrastructure and semantics for big data and the internet in general
  • Role of community-driven, semantics-based business intelligence in cooperative IS
  • Implementation and application of open innovation in ecosystems of organizations and enterprises

OTM Academy — not your “usual PhD symposium”…

OTM Academy ia a unique and specially developed comprehensive program for PhD students and their advisors. Accepted submissions under this program will enjoy a thorough and interactive critique by the OTMA Faculty of presentation, both poster and paper, about their PhD project as well as a published contribution in LNCS workshop proceedings, and much more— check its own website!

INDUSTRY CASE STUDIES PROGRAM 2014

Industry Applications and Standard initiatives for Cooperative Information Systems for Interoperable Infrastructures. In the recently added Industry Case Studies Program (ICSP) successful submitters may use OnTheMove as the forum for presenting cutting-edge applications of distributed computing, receiving analysis and critique by the attending scientific community.

WORKSHOPS 2014

A parallel program consisting of a (still growing) list of highly topical workshops covering emerging related areas:

  • EG 2014: International Workshop on e-Governance in Service-Ecosystems
  • EI2N 2014: 8th International Workshop on Enterprise Integration, Interoperability and Networking
  • INBAST 2014: 3rd Workshop on Industrial and Business Applications of Semantic Web Technologies
